"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

I really like the concept of this site, i really do. i wish i had more ambition to do work worthy of posting here. some of you may be saying "but AJ, some of the stuff posted here is absolute crap, some of the stuff YOU posted here is absolute crap, why are you worried about quality?" and i have to say the crap i post is at least funny (and/or buddy icons), and i'm working away from posting crap. so when i get back to school with my new computer, hopefully more, higher-quality work will go up. im not saying hold your breathe, but it's a goal of mine.

It was about the most deliberately symbolic images I've ever post. Yours was one of several connotations in mind. (I do work in corporate America.) Wouldn't elaborate them all, but would add that the setting sun is an important part of the gestalt too.
Probably going to revise that print tomorrow to brighten the result just a bit - the current print is actually a touch too rich, if you could believe it. But of course I'd be thrilled if you like it that much.
You're off to a hell of a start here, aren't you? Your last three, in particular, are really exceptional. And am very impressed with your effective variety too. Will definitely try to weigh in on a couple when I can come up for air. (I'm under a deadline now, but couldn't pass up a chance to say hello.)
